Helen Royster Hedgepeth

Mrs. Helen Royster Hedgepeth, formerly of South Boston, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in Wilmington, NC.  She was born in Oxford, NC on December 24, 1920 and was 95 years old. The daughter of the late John Henry Royster and the late Carrie Lippard Royster, Helen was married to the late O.C. “Bob” Hedgepeth for 57 years.   She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of South Boston, VA.    Mrs. Helen Royster Hedgepeth is survived by: Son Royster Hedgepeth and wife Kathryn of Wilmington, NC Daughter Angela H. Conner and husband William of Georgetown, SC Grandchildren Ryan and Kristen Hedgepeth of Columbus, OH Janel and Tiffani Hedgepeth of Columbus, OH Christopher and Julissa Conner of Las Salinas, Nicaragua Jeffery and Jennifer Conner of Pawleys Island, SC Great Grandchildren Rafe, Ashlyn, Zane and Christian   Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Powell Funeral Home with the Rev. Susan Davis officiating. Burial to follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home, Saturday, April 30, 2016 one hour prior to the service.
