June Barksdale Moser

Mrs. June Barksdale Moser of South Boston passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Sentara Woodview .  She was born in Pittsylvania County on January 1, 1929 and was 88 years old. She was the daughter of the late Jones Harper Barksdale, Sr. and the late Mary Jones East Barksdale. She was also married to the late Fitzhugh Herman Moser.   She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and she retired from Burlington Industries.     Mrs. June Barksdale Moser is survived by: Two Sons Jackie Moser and wife Kelly of Alton, VA Sammie Moser and wife Deborah of South Boston, VA Five Grandchildren Scott Moser and wife Angela of South Boston, VA Tessa Clay of Alton, VA Drew Moser of Alton, VA Grey Moser of Alton, VA Todd Moser and wife Kim of Oak Level, VA Seven Great Grandchildren   ***Preceded in death by*** Her Parents Jones H. Barksdale, Sr. and Mary Jones East Barksdale One Brother Jones Barksdale Two Sisters Mary Jean Perkins Margaret Woltz One Great Grandchild Mary Ann Moser   Funeral service will be held Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Vance Midget officiating.
