Dalhia McGregor Redd

Mrs. Dalhia McGregor Redd of South Boston passed away March 9, 2016. She was born in Pittsylvania County on May 12, 1920 and was 95 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Billy and the late Eva Tanksley McGregor. She was married to the late Carlton Redd.   She was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church.   Mrs. Dalhia McGregor Redd is survived by: Three Daughters Esther Reaves (Jerry) of South Boston, VA Evelyn Saunders (John) of Halifax, VA Lorine Beard (Junior) of Vernon Hill, VA Two Sons Monroe Redd of Halifax, VA Samuel David Redd of Halifax, VA Fifteen Grandchildren Forty Great Grandchildren Thirty six Great-Great Grandchildren One Great-Great-Great GrandchildOne Daughter-in-Law-Joann Redd of Java, VA   ***Preceded in death by*** Her Parents Billy and Eva McGregor Her Husband Carlton Redd One Son Leslie Redd   Graveside service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 11:00 A.M.at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Cemetery with Father Cleon Ross officiating.   The family will receive friends Friday, March 11, 2016 from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home.   For memorials please consider a charity of your choice.
