Dora Blanche Dean Amos

Mrs. Dora Blanche Dean Amos of Halifax, VA passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016 at her home. She was born in Buckingham County, VA on January 24, 1939 and was 77 years old. She was the daughter of the late George William Dean and the late Margaret Catlett Dean and was married to the late Aubrey Amos.   She was a member of the Dan River Baptist Church and was a child caretaker to many.   Mrs. Dora Blanche Dean Amos is survived by: One Son Donnie Amos and wife Susan of South Boston One Daughter Janet Amos Fisher and husband Tony of Nathalie Two Grandchildren Tyler and Trevor Fisher, both of Nathalie One brother James Dean of Charlottesville One Sister Ruby Sprouse of Dillwyn Nieces Wendy Tolbert and Sarah Litten Special Aunt Gladys Glass of Richmond Kelsey White Reagan and Trey White, two beloved like grandchildren who were special to her Special friends Pam Giegerich and Kitty White . Funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Gibson and Rev. Susan Davis officiating.
