Barbara McLaughlin Greene

Mrs. Barbara McLaughlin Greene of Halifax, VA passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born in Buckingham County, VA on December 19, 1937 and was 78 years old. She was the daughter of the late George Sydnor McLaughlin and the late Louise Gills McLaughlin and was married to Robert “Bob” Greene, Sr. who survives.   She was a member of the St. John’s Episcopal Church and a lifetime member of the Alter Gild. She was also a member of the Halifax Woman’s Club and retired from the Halifax County Public School System.   Mrs. Barbara McLaughlin Greene is survived by: Her Husband Robert Tyree “Bob” Greene, Sr. of Halifax Two Sons Robert Tyree Green, Jr. of Pinehurst, NC Jeff Greene and wife Catherine of Annapolis, MD Two Grandchildren Sally Greene and Georgie Greene of Annapolis, MD   Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. John’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Cleon Ross officiating.
