Virginia Hughes Palmer

Mrs. Virginia Hughes Palmer of South Boston passed away February 10, 2016. She was born in Halifax County on August 20, 1925 and was 90 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Woodson Hughes and Ruth Nichols Hughes. She was married to the late Andrew J. Palmer.   She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.   Mrs. Virginia Hughes Palmer is survived by: Two Sisters Lucille H. Brandon of South Boston, VA Eva H. Hagood of South Boston, VA Number of Nieces and Nephews   ***Preceded in death by*** Her Parents Woodson and Ruth Nichols Hughes Her Husband Andrew J. Palmer Three Sisters Frances H. Ramsey Rebecca Hughes Kathryn H. Foster One Brother William B. Hughes     Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Edward Rigg officiating. Private burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
