Wesley Halton Black

Mr. Wesley Halton Black of Scottsburg, VA passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital. He was born September 11, 1936 in Orange County, NC and was 79 years old. He was the son of the late Fred lee Black, Sr. and the late Stella Elizabeth Bowers Black and was married to Mary Lee Miles Black, who survives.   He was a member of the True Light Baptist Church and also help establish the East Roxboro Church of God. He was self-employed and known as “ a jack of all trades”.     Mr. Wesley Halton Black is survived by: His Wife Mary Lee Miles Black of Scottsburg Four Daughters Theresa Pigott and husband John of Oxford, NC Carol Taylor of Burlington, NC Donna Hathaway and husband Robert of Louisburg, NC Shelia Black of Graham, NC One Son Eugene Black of Elon, NC Two Step-Sons Tommy Joe Campbell and Barbara of Roxboro, NC Timmy Lee Campbell and wife Kim of South Boston, VA Twenty three Grandchildren Thirty three Great Grandchildren One Brother Floyd Black of Burlington, NC One Sister Clara Watkins Rice and husband Ted of Mebane, NC A number of nieces and nephews ***Preceded in death by*** Two brothers, Robert and Fred Black One step-daughter, Mary Angela “Angie” Seamster   Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.
