Aelise Willard Doherty

Mrs. Aelise Willard Doherty of South Boston, VA passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Berry Hill Nursing Home. She was born in Halifax County, VA on September 10, 1924 and was 91 years old. She was the daughter of the late Homer Bryan Willard and the late Erna Gravitt Willard and was married to the late John Richard Doherty.   She was a member of the First Baptist Church.   Mrs. Aelise Willard Doherty is survived by: One Son Bryan R. Doherty of South Boston One Sister Nannie W. Wilbourne of South Boston Two Nieces Patricia Wilbourne of South Boston Ellen Placko of Williamsburg, VA One Nephew Marshall Willard of Richmond, VATwo Grand NephewsByran and Christopher Placko ***Preceded in death by*** One Brother M.F. Willard   Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dave Anderson , the Rev. Susan Davis and the Rev. Bob Ballance officiating.
