Mrs. Dorothy Mae Campbell of Nathalie passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on January 28, 2016. She was born in Auburn, Maine on July 19, 1940 and was 75 years old. She was the daughter of the late Elbridge G. Harris and the late Mary F. Harris. She was married to Norman H. Campbell, who survives.   She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Portsmouth, VA, where she was a long time member and taught Sunday school. She also worked at the Central Baptist Church School as a teacher’s aide and substitute. In 2006 she retired from Food Lion, in Portsmouth, VA as a DSD Receiver. She was employed there for many years and took pride in a job well done. She was a loving wife and mother, who will be greatly missed by her family.   Mrs. Dorothy Mae Campbell is survived by: Her Husband Norman H. Campbell One Son David C. Campbell and fiancée Diane Wells of Nathalie, VA One Daughter Hope M. Clinchot and husband Keith of Portsmouth, VA Two Granddaughters Jessica M. Clinchot and Amber D. Clinchot of Portsmouth, VA One Brother George E. Harris of Auburn, ME One Sister Darlene R. Harris of Auburn, ME   ***Preceded in death by*** Her Parents Elbridge G. and Mary F. Harris Two Sisters Ruth A. White and infant sister, Mary Barbara Harris One Brother Elbridge “Joe” G. Harris, Jr.   A private graveside service will be held Monday, February 1, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Childrey Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Standfield officiating.   Flowers will be accepted at the funeral home and Mrs. Dorothy Mae Campbell can be viewed at the funeral home until the graveside service on Monday.   For memorials please consider the Southside Virginia Alzheimer’s Association, 4600 Cox Road, Suite 130, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
