Mr. Thomas Edward Redd of South Boston, VA passed away December 17, 2015. He was born in Halifax, VA on January 29, 1952 and was 63 years old. He was the son of the late Eddie Thomas and the late Mildred Hall Redd. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and was a United State Army Veteran and proudly served during the Vietnam Era as well as the National Guard. He was retired from the South Boston Police Department. Mr. Thomas Edward Redd is survived by: One Son Thomas Keith Redd of Clarksville, VA Two Daughters Kimberly Redd Gordon and husband Scott of Halifax, VA Katelyn Redd of Nathalie, VA Five Grandchildren Logan Redd of Roxboro, NC Kadence, Ethan, Averie and Olivia Gordon of Halifax, VA Two Sisters Phyllis Stuart of Chase City, VA Emily Hodnett of Java, VA Special Friend Donna Nash of Lynchburg, VA Two Nephews One Niece Four Great Nieces and nephews ***Preceded in death by*** His Parents Eddie T. and Mildred Hall Redd One Granddaughter Rebekah Gordon Memorial service will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Wilkins and Ronnie Couch officiating.The family will receive friends Friday, December 18, 2015 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M.at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home of Kimberly Gordon, 1008 Donna Court, Halifax, VA.
