Mrs. Belva Smith Keesee Markham of South Boston passed away November 12, 2015. She was born in Halifax County on November 22, 1918 and she was 96 years old. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Smith and the late Hattie B. Dunn Smith. She was a member of First Baptist Church of South Boston. Mrs. Belva Smith Keesee Markham is survived by: One Son Tom Markham and husband John Carbaugh of Charlottesville, VA Two Daughters Shannon M. Staples and husband Wilt of Summerville, SC Louise M Throckmorton and husband Larry of Scottsburg, VA Five Grandchildren Wayne Adams of Halifax, VA Cristy Balkus of Vernon Hill, VA Brandi Collette of Summerville, SC Josh Staples of Berkley, CA Natalie Staples of Maui, HI Five Great Grandchildren One Great Great Grandchild ***Preceded in death by*** Her Parents Ernest Smith and Hattie B. Dunn Smith Eight Brothers and Sisters and their spouses Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church of South Boston with the Rev.
