William Ryland Jeter

Mr. William Jeter of Sutherlin, VA passed away November 2, 2015. He was born in Halifax County, VA on August 10, 1927 and he was 88 years old. He was the son of the late Tillman Ellet Jeter and the late Willie Spencer Jeter. He was first married to the late Natalie Fuquay Jeter and then to the late Olive Paige Warner Jeter. He was a past member of Mercy Seat Presbyterian Church. He was a graduate of Tuberville High School and then graduated from Coyne Electrical School in Chicago, IL. He was United States Navy Veteran. He was a Master Electrician and was owner and operator of Bill Jeter Electrical. He was also a Mason of St. Tammany Lodge No. 5 in Hampton, VA. Mr. William Jeter is survived by: One Daughter Marsha Natalie Jeter Barksdale and husband Cary H. Barksdale, Sr. of Paces, VA One Grandson Nat Barksdale and wife Emily Pool Barksdale of Paces One Granddaughter Brooke Barksdale of Paces Three Great Grandchildren Ashlyn, Luke and Brooklyn Barksdale One Sister Josephine Hall ***Preceded in death by*** One Brother Spencer Jeter Two Sisters Alma Dodson Ruby Mae Nawolkosky A memorial service will be held at a later date.
