Lennie Coleman Fisher, Jr.

Mr. Lennie Coleman "LC" Fisher Jr. of Republican Grove passed away October 28, 2015. He was born in Lynchburg, VA on August 5, 1943 and he was 72 years old. He was the son of the late Lennie Coleman "Pete" Fisher and the late Helen Lewis Fisher. He was married to Judy Blanks Fisher. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Republican Grove, and he served on the Board of Trustees, a former Deacon and served on the cemetery committee. He was a Charter member of the North Halifax Volunteer Fire Department and a former Fire Chief for over 40 years. He also served on the Halifax County Fire Commission, and on the Farm Service Agency Committee. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Lennie Coleman "LC" Fisher Jr. is survived by: His Wife Judy Blanks Fisher of the home One Son Mark Fisher and wife Ashley One Daughter Laura Fisher Dawson and husband Lynn Six Grandchildren Judson Francis, Anne Francis, Gray Dawson, Seth Dawson, Zoe Fisher and Sydney Fisher One Brother Sherman Fisher and wife Virginia One Sister Patricia F. Thomas and husband Michael Several Nieces and Nephews ***Preceded in death by*** His Parents Lennie Coleman "Pete" Fisher and Helen Lewis Fisher Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Republican Grove with the Rev. Shelton Miles officiating. Burial to follow in church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, October 30, 2015 from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. at North Halifax Volunteer Fire Department and other times at his home of 4112 Cody Road, Nathalie, VA.
