Mr. William Bouldin "Bill" Caldwell of South Boston, VA passed away October 27, 2015. He was born in South Boston, VA on March 15, 1924, and was 91years old. He was the son of the late Jack Bouldin Caldwell and the late Janie Hazelwood Caldwell. He was married to Anne Spears Caldwell, who survives. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, and served as both Sr. and Jr. Warden. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He also served as Adjutant of American Legion, Registrar of South Boston, President and Secretary of the South Boston Jaycees, Charter member of South Boston Rotary Club, President of Mental Health Association, President of Board of Realtors, and Chairman of Halifax County Board of Assessment and Chairman of the South Boston Board of Equalization. Mr. William Bouldin "Bill" Caldwell is survived by: His Wife Anne Spears Caldwell of South Boston, VA One Step-daughter Catherine Collins Jenkins and husband Lee of Alexandria, VA Two Step-grandsons Graham Collins Jenkins of Los Angeles, CA Evan Doan Jenkins of Boston, MA One Nephew Jack C. Caldwell, II and wife Betty of South Boston, VA One Niece Beth C. Duncan and husband Mark of Mechanicsville, VA Three Great Nieces One Great Nephew ***Preceded in death by*** His Parents Jack Bouldin Caldwell and Janie Hazelwood Caldwell One Daughter Anne C. Conner One Son David Lawrence Caldwell One Brother Jack Coleman Caldwell Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at St. John's Episcopal Church with the Father Cleon Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 1:00 P.M. and other times at his home of 413 Monroe Street, South Boston, VA.
