Obituary Notice Mrs. Emma Pearl Elliott Gordon of Halifax, VA passed away Monday, October 19, 2015 Halifax, VA. She was born in Halifax County, VA on February 7, 1930 and was 85 years old. She was the daughter of the late Robert Richard "Upton" Elliott and the late Mary Virginia Gordon Elliott. She was married to the late Archer Thomas Gordon. She was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church and attended Union Christian Church. Mrs. Emma Pearl Elliott Gordon is survived by: Two Sons Lester Gordon and wife Bonnie of Virgilina, VA Earl Gordon and wife Diane of Grassy Creek, NC Three Daughters Marie Williamson and husband PeeWee of Nelson, VA Dorothy Comer and husband Bobby of South Boston, VA Ruth Hudson and husband Gerald of Halifax, VA Eleven Grandchildren Twenty three Great Grandchildren One half-brother Randolph Elliott and wife Shelby of Alton One half sister Rebecca Trickey and husband Joe of South Boston, VA Two Sisters-in-law Rebecca Elliott of Richmond, VA Rachel Elliott of Alton, VA Preceeded in Death By: Her Parents Robert Richard "Upton" Elliott Mary Virginia Gordon Elliott Her Husband Archer Thomas Gordon One Brother Robert Elliott One half-brother Stover Elliott Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Union Christian Church with the Rev. Norman Talley officiating. Burial to follow in the Cedar Grove UMC church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at her home 4104 Huell Matthews Hwy, south Boston, VA.
