Mr. Roy Allen Davis of Halifax County passed away October 11,2015. He was born in the Halifax County on April 18,1952. He was 63 years old. He was the son of the late Roy Clifton Davis and Emma Davis Ambrose. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and he was a United States Marine veteran of the Vietnam Era. Mr. Roy Allen Davis is survived by: One Son Christopher Allen Davis of Blanche, NC Two Granddaughters Haley Christian Davis of Timberlake, NC Heidi Ann Davis of Timberlake, NC His Mother Emma Grey Davis Ambrose of Halifax, VA Two Stepbrothers John Ambrose and wife Kathy of Halifax, VA Jimmy Ambrose of Washington, DC One Stepsister Joan Ambrose of Richmond, VA ***Preceded in death by*** His Father Roy Clifton Davis His Stepfather John Ambrose Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 15 at 11:00 A.M. at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends at Bethel Baptist Church one hour prior to the service, and other times at the home of his mother, 4134 Cowford Road, Halifax, VA.
