Mrs. Frances Barnes Mitchell of Halifax County passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015. She was born on September 2, 1913 in Barnesville, Charlotte County, VA. She was 102 years old. She was the child of the late Samuel Francis Barnes and the late Emma Bondurant Barnes. She was married to the late John Mitchell. She was a member of Beth Car Baptist Church.
