Obituary Notice Mr. Everette Ray Nichols, Sr. Mr. Everette Ray Nichols, Sr. of Clover, VA passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015 at his home. He was born in Halifax County, VA on September 4, 1927 and was 88 years old. He was the son of the late Jerry Mack Nichols, Sr. and the late Mary Susan Nichols and was married to Nancy K. Nichols, who survives. He was a member of the Clover Baptist Church and retired owner/merchant of the Mt. Laurel Country Store. He was also an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Everette Ray Nichols, Sr. is survived by: His wife of 59 years: Nancy K. Nichols of Clover Two Sons Everette Nichols, Jr. and wife Bonnie of Blacksburg, VA Forrest B. Nichols and wife Diane of Richmond, VA One Daughter Kelly Nichols Fite and husband Bion of South Boston Seven Grandchildren Blair Nichols of Richmond and Brittany Nelson of Charleston, SC Kristen Matiz of Richmond Kasey Murphy of Gaithersburg, MD Hanna Nichols of Richmond Patrick Currie of Montana and Austin Fite of South Boston Two great grandchildren Emma and John Nelson Two Brothers Ernest M. Nichols of Keysville, VA Clyde W. Nichols of Richmond, VA ***Preceded in death by: Four Brothers Bryant L. Nichols, William V. Nichols, Jerry M. Nichols, Jr. and Ralph Glenn Nichols Three Sisters Edith L. Fowler, Iris Fitz Cotter, and Margaret N. Brankley Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Clover Baptist Church, with the Rev. Tom Walker and Rev. Greg Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Clover Cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 7:00-8:30 P.M. and other times at his home, 302 North Main St., Clover, VA.
