Mrs. Bettie Weatherford Smith of Halifax, VA passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Sentara Woodview. She was born June 15, 1930 in Halifax County, VA, and was 85 years old. She was the Daughter of the late William "Billie" Thomas Weatherford and the late Louise Owen Weatherford. Mrs. Bettie Weatherford Smith is survived by: Her Husband Oscar J. Smith One Son Larry B. Anderson and wife Faye of South Boston, VA One Daughter Lois A. Puckett of Nathalie, VA Barry A. Puckett of Halifax, VA Three Grandchildren Melissa Loftis and husband Chad of Virgilina, VA George Anderson and wife Elizabeth of Asheville, NC Allen Puckett of Danville, VA Seven Great Grandchildren One Brother Wayne Weatherford and wife Betty of Halifax, VA Funeral services will be held, August 22, 2015 at 2P.M. at Asbury United Methodist.
