Mrs. Nannie Bliss Hazelwood of Halifax County, VA, passed away Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Sentara Woodview. She was born February 12, 1926 in Halifax County, VA and was 89 years old. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Haywood Bliss and Sula Hughes Bliss. She was a member of the Living Waters Church of God in Clover, VA Mrs. Nannie Bliss Hazelwood was survived by: Three Daughters Joyce H. Nichols and husband Richard of Clover, VA Peggy H. Vassar and husband Floyd of Scottsburg, VA Patsy H. Vassar and husband Gerald of Clover, VA Nine Grandchildren Eighteen Great Grandchildren One Sister Shirley B. Gregory of Cary, NC One Brother George W. Bliss of South Boston A number of Nieces and Nephews Preceded in death by: Three Brothers Tasker Bliss, Andrew Bliss and Frank Bliss Two Sisters: Irene Manning, Thelma Womack Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home with the Rev. T. Wayne Daniels officiating. Burial will follow at Clover Cemetery.
