Carl Stuart Smith

Mr. Carl Stuart Smith of Scottsburg, VA passed away Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynchburg, VA. He was born August 18, 1928 in Halifax County, VA and was 86 years old. He was the son of the late Robert H. Smith and the late Nora R. Smith and was married to Lillian Powell Smith, who survives. He was a member of the Scottsburg Baptist Church. Mr. Carl Stuart Smith is survived by: His Wife Lillian Powell Smith of Scottsburg Two Sons Larry C. Smith and wife Patricia of Scottsburg Van Smith and wife Sandra of South Boston Three Grandchildren Holly Blackstock and husband Riley of Nathalie Stephanie Snead of South Boston Travis Snead and wife Brittany of Moneta, VA Four great Grandchildren Tyler, Tristin and Bella Blackstock of Nathalie Jacie Snead of South Boston ***Preceded in death by*** One brother, Fred W. Smith Graveside services will be held Monday, August 10, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Oakland Cemetery in Scottsburg, VA., with the Rev. Brian Smutz and the Rev. Jack Stewart officiating.
