Harriett Yancey Sanders

Mrs. Harriett Yancey Sanders, formerly of Turbeville, VA passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Danville Regional Hospital. She was born in Halifax county October 13, 1938 and was 76 years old. She was the daughter of the late Robert Yancey and Elnora Daniel Yancey Puckett and was married to the late Arnold Glenn Sanders. She was a former employee of Department of Corrections Camp 23 and was a member of First Crossroads Baptist Church. Survivors include: One son Todd Sanders and wife Sandy of Danville One sister Binnie Y. Davis and husband Bill of Ringgold Four grandchildren Benjamin, Jonathan, Lynley, and Jamison Sanders A host of nieces and nephews She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Sanders A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 2:00 PM at First Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dan Ward officiating. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 7-8:30 PM.
