James Lou Robertson

Mr. James Lou Robertson of Denniston Road, Alton, VA passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at his home. He was born in Halifax County on October 10, 1945 and was 69 years old. He was the son of the late Raymond Robertson and Lula Richardson Robertson. He was a member of Willow Oak Christian Church and was retired from JP Stevens. Survivors include: Two daughters Carolyn R. Rickmond of Alton Nora (Lyne) Robertson and fiancé William Setliff of Virgilina One son Larry Lloyd and wife Christy of Nathalie Two sisters Betty R. Throckmorton and husband Bill of South Boston Katherine R. Holt and husband Wayne of Halifax Six grandchildren Ashley Hill, Ronald Rickmond Jr., Dena Rickmond, Melissa Lloyd, Daniel Bowling, and MaKaylee Lloyd Two great grandchildren Nickolas Singleton and Brenton Singleton He was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Robertson and by an infant son, James Lou Robertson Jr. , and an infant granddaughter, Angel Nicole Lloyd A memorial service will be held at Willow Oak Christian Church on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Michael Haskett officiating. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.
