Mrs. Mary P. Brown of Halifax, Virginia passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at her home. She was born December 12, 1938 in Granville County, NC. and was 76 years old. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Perkins and Alma Smart Perkins. She was a member of the Beth Car Baptist Church. Mary Perkins Brown is survived by: Three Sons Derek Brown & wife Judy of Scottsburg Duane Brown of Nathalie & Celeste Carrington of South Boston Damon Brown & wife Shelley of Durham, NC One Grandson Christian Brown of Durham, NC One Sister Celia Brown & husband Joe of Oxford, NC Four Brothers Wilbur Perkins & wife Barbara of Granite Falls, NC Forest Perkins of Oxford, NC Reggie Perkins & wife Peggy of Oxford, NC Bobby Perkins & wife Margaret of Oxford, NC ***Preceded in death by One Brother, Raley Perkins Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Perkins Brown will be held at Powell Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, June 29, 2015 at 11:00 A. M. with the Rev Aubrey Heath officiating. Burial will follow in Amis Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Granville County, NC.
