Sylvia Walker Grove Thompson

Mrs. Sylvia Walker Thompson of Brookneal, Virginia died Monday, June 22, 2015 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born in Halifax County, Virginia, January 17, 1938 and was 77 Years of age. She was the daughter of the late James Herbert Walker and Gracie Ida Walker and was married to the late James Thompson. Mrs. Thompson was a member of the First Baptist Church of Millstone. Mrs. Sylvia Walker Thompson is survived by: Three Sisters Louise W. Carter of Alton Brenda W. Perkins of Alton Stella W. Francis of Brookneal Two Brothers James Woodrow Walker of Brookneal Dick Melvin Walker, Sr. of Halifax Two Daughters Melinda Beadles of Brookneal Christina Mays of Brookneal Numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren Numerous nieces and nephews ***Preceded in death by One Daughter, Nancy Lee Epperson One Son, James Clayton Grove, Sr. On Sister, Joyce Marie Compton One Brother, Larry Daniel Walker A Graveside Service for Mrs. Sylvia Thompson will be held at the First Baptist Church of Millstone Cemetery, Friday, June 26, 2015 at 2:00 P. M. with the Rev. Kris Cook officiating.
