Mrs. Mary Green Loftis of South Boston, VA passed away Friday, June 12, 2015 at the Commonwealth Assisted Living Facility. She was born May 4, 1918 in Halifax County, VA and was 97 years old. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Gray Green and the late Lottie Rogers Green and was married to the late Douglas Edward Loftis. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and an active volunteer at the Halifax Regional Hospital. Mrs. Loftis was a retired Leggett's employee,where she worked for more than 35 years as a sales clerk. Dave Anderson & the Rev. Susan Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will visit with friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.
