Glenn Stanley Roberts

Mr. Glenn Stanley Roberts Sr. of Chester, VA and formerly of Halifax County passed away on June 2, 2015 at Nathalie. He was born in Halifax County April 7, 1952 and was 63 years old. He was the son of the late Beverly B. Roberts and Martha Jane Vaughan Roberts. He was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. Survivors include: Two sons Glenn Stanley Roberts Jr. and wife Elizabeth of South Boston Jimmy Wayne Roberts of South Boston One sister Diane R. Cassada and husband James of Richmond Five brothers Wesley Gene Roberts and wife Bernice of Alton Theodore Ryland Roberts and wife Julia of Forrest Douglas Wayne Roberts and wife Peggy of Richmond Beverly Carroll Roberts of Alton Barry Ray Roberts and wife Joanne of Halifax Four grandchildren His beloved dog Harley He was also preceded in death by three brothers Jessie Roger Roberts Russell Henry Roberts Watson Jerry Roberts A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Sowder and Rev. Daniel Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Saturday for one hour prior to the service.
