Roy Henry Jacobs, Jr.

Mr. Roy Henry Jacobs, Jr. of South Boston, Virginia died Monday, June 01, 2015 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital. He was born in New York, New York January 19, 1931 and was 84 years of age.He was the son of the late Roy Henry Jacobs, Sr.and Hedwig Tetzloff Jacobs and was married to Eleanor Bishop "Ellie" Jacobs, who survives. Mr. Jacobs was a member of the Congregational Church in Meriden, CT., he served in the U. S. Air Force as a Gunner on a B-26 in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 8, Honor Guard where he served as a flag folder for several years. He was retired from Pratt & Whitney as an Aircraft Engine Technician. Mr. Roy Henry Jacobs, Jr. is survived by: His Wife Eleanor Bishop "Ellie" Jacobs of South Boston One Daughter Darcie DuBiel ( Ralph) of Vernon, CT Two Sons Jeffrey Jacobs of Wallingford, CT Scott Jacobs of Spokane (Elizabeth) Washington Four Step Children Dennis Saucier of Hebron, CT Colleen Adams & Travis Miller of Meriden, CT James Saucier of Higginum, CT Kellilyn Woods and Michael of Eldorado Hills, CA 12 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren A memorial service for Mr. Roy Henry Jacobs, Jr. will be held at the American Legion Post 8 Thursday, June 4, 2015, family will meet at 5:30 P.M. and Service will begin at 6:00 P.M. with the Rev. Rodney Barwick officiating. In lieu of flowers please consider Shriner's Children's Hospital.
