Mr. Riley Singleton Busick of Cluster Springs, VA passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital. He was born in Halifax County on February 17, 1926 and was 89 years old. He was the son of the late Howard Madison Busick and Rena Moon Busick and was married to the late Thelma Newton Busick. He was a member of Mt. Cana United Methodist Church, was a WW II Army Veteran, and was former owner/operator of Busick Service Center in Richmond. Survivors include: One daughter Wanda B. Murray and husband Allen of South Boston Two granddaughters Lawanna M. Tetterton and husband Bill of South Boston Trina M. Morris of South Boston Three great grandchildren Kayla Jarosz and husband Andrew, Kelsey Baker, and Collin Morris Two step-great grandchildren Lauren Tetterton and Andrew Tetterton He was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Busick A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Michael Haskett officiating. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Monday evening from 7-8:30 PM and other times at the home of Wanda and Allen Murray, 1042 Cluster Springs Road, South Boston.
