Muriel Brooks Ferrell

Mrs. Muriel Brooks Ferrell of Halifax, Virginia died Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Sentara, Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia August 30, 1934 and was 80 years of age. She was the daughter of the late James C. Brooks and Louise Towler Brooks and was married to the late Louis Clayborne "L. C." Ferrell. Mrs. Ferrell was a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church. Mrs. Muriel Brooks Ferrell is survived by: One Son Tim Ferrell & wife Tammy of Halifax One Grandson Troy Matthew Ferrell of Halifax One Brother Charles J. Brooks & wife Susie of Java, VA A number of nieces and nephews **Preceded in death by Two Brothers Ralph & Robert Brooks Funeral Services for Mrs. Muriel Towler Ferrell will be held at Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00 A. M. with the Rev. Bill Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home Chapel for one hour prior to the service. Those wishing to give memorials are asked to consider a charity of your choice.
