Mary Margaret Duncan Crews

Mrs. Mary Margaret Duncan Crews of Nathalie, VA passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born July 13, 1927 in Halifax County, VA and was 87 years old. She was the daughter of the late Reuben Johnson Duncan and the late Ellen Riddle Duncan and was married to the late Carroll Hines Crews. She was a member of the Republican Grove United Methodist Church and was a retired teacher/administrator. She was also a member of the Lynchburg Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 54. She was also a graduate of Madison College (J.M.U.) Mrs. Mary Margaret Duncan Crews is survived by: Two Sons Michael Duncan Crews and wife Charlene of Lynchburg, VA Dwight Wayne Crews and wife Sheilah of Burlington, NC Four Grandchildren Kelly Gardner and husband Brad of Lynchburg Holly Crews and partner Jessica of Swoope, VA Reuben Crews and wife Maggi of Colorado Springs, CO Matt Crews and wife Elizabeth of Charlotte, NC Seven Great Grandchildren One Sister, Elizabeth D. Slominski of Lynchburg, VA One sister-in-law Gayle Duncan of Republican Grove A number of nieces and nephews Also Preceded in death by: One brother, Richard E. "Buddy" Duncan Memorial services will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Republican Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev.Andrew Shultz officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
