Thelma Palmer Lacy

Mrs. Thelma Palmer Lacy of Halifax, VA passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 at her home. She was born September 5, 1914 in Halifax County, VA and was 100 years old. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Palmer and Eunice Hudson Palmer and was married to the late Daniel Epps Lacy, Sr. She was a member of the Dan River Baptist Church and the Retired Teacher's Association Mrs. Thelma Palmer Lacy is survived by: One Daughter Jeanette L. Anderson and husband James of Miami, FL Two Sons Daniel Epps Lacy, Jr. of Halifax James Palmer Lacy and wife Lynn Cesaro Lacy of Halifax Two Grandchildren Travis Anderson ( Kristin) of Alexandria Chris Pridgen ( Kristen Mosier )of Alton Two Great-Grandchildren Ethan Anderson & Macie Pridgen Caregivers: Cathy Short, Lisa Bruno and Sandra Wilborn ***In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by Four Sisters, Mary Palmer Hudson, Lucille Palmer Cardwell, Agnes Palmer Crews, Reb a Palmer Nunn Four brothers, Harvey, Aubrey, Linwood & Cecil Palmer A Graveside service will be held Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at the Dan River Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Dan River Baptist Church and other times at her home.
