Clara Powell Carver

Mrs. Clara Powell Carver, 77 of Halifax, VA passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born October 15, 1937, the daughter of the late Jack Powell and Justine Granger Powell. She was a registered nurse and spent most of her career with the Halifax County Health department. She dedicated her life to helping others and was known for her extra ordinary kindness. She was a member of the Dan River Baptist Church where she was actively involved until her health prevented her from attending. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, W. R. Carver, her son Walter Carver and her brother, Bobby Powell. Mrs. Clara Powell Carver is survived by: Her Daughter Toy Carver Stone of Halifax Her Son Jeffrey Scott Carver of Halifax Her Sister Sue Powell Edwards of Williamsburg, VA The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Thursday, May 14th from 7-8:30 P.M..
