John Wesley Snead, Sr.

Mr. John Wesley Snead, Sr. of Dryburg, VA passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the home of his son. He was born September 21, 1943 in Halifax County, VA and was 71 years old. He was the son of the late Pete Sydney Snead and the late Vivian Conner Snead and was married to the late Sallie Mae Hazelwood Snead. He was a member of the Fork Baptist Church. Mr. John Wesley Snead, Sr. is survived by: One Daughter Donna Gregory and husband Jamie of Sutherlin, VA Three Sons John W. "Pete" Snead, Jr. and wife Gayle of Clover Sidney Snead and wife Pam of Nathalie Mark Snead and wife Peggy of Clover Five Grandchildren, Steven Snead, John Curtis Snead, Mark Wayne Snead, Jr., Candi Snead and Chad Burton Seven Great Grandchildren Two Sisters Ruth Andrews of Clover Connie Perkins of Halifax A number of nieces and nephews and friends *Preceded in death by One Brother, Sam P. Snead Six Sisters, Sally Powell, Annie Hatcher, Arie Martin, Helen Ritt, Ella Powell And Geneva Andrews. A memorial Service for Mr. John Wesley Snead, Sr. will be held at Fork Baptist Church, Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 2:00 P. M. with the Rev. Ron Rhew officiating.
