Rebecca Clardy Blackstock

Mrs. Rebecca Clardy Blackstock of South Boston, VA passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Sentara Woodview. She was born July 3, 1921 in Halifax County, VA and was 93 years old. She was the daughter of the late George Richard Clardy and the late Ella Hardie Clardy and was married to the late Herbert Blackstock. She was a member of the Oak Level Presbyterian Church and was retired from J.P. Stevens. Mrs. Rebecca Clardy Blackstock is survived by: One nephew Charles Clardy and wife Betty of Nathalie Two nieces June C. Vaughan of South Boston Sally C. Tuck and husband John of South Boston A number of great nieces and nephews ***Preceded in death by*** One sister, Virginia C. Boyles One brother, Richard W. Clardy, Sr. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.
