Dr.Warren Cleaton Hagood

Dr. Warren C. Hagood of South Boston, VA passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Sentara Woodview. He was born June 8, 1926 in Harlan, KY and was 88 years old. He was the son of the late Warren G. Hagood and the late Margaret Beck Hagood and was raised to adulthood by his aunt and uncle, Margaret S. and William J. Hagood. Dr. Hagood was first married to the late Maude Wood Hagood and then to Eva Coates Hagood, who survives. Dr. Warren C. Hagood was a graduate of the University of Richmond and the Medical College of Virginia. He practiced medicine in Clover, VA for many years with his uncle and cousin. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Dr. Hagood was a WWII Navy veteran. Dr. Warren C. Hagood is survived by: His Wife Eva Coates Hagood of South Boston Two Daughters Susan Ailsworth of Newport News, VA Martha Hagood of Brooklyn, NY One Son Jim Hagood and wife Kim of Providence Forge, VA Six Grandchildrren West Ailsworth of Richmond, VA Cliff Ailsworth of Newport News, VA Carter Ailsworth of Richmond, VA Margaret Leavitt of Richmond, VA James and Jordan Hagood of Providence Forge, VA Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Russell Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home.
