Mr. Russell Wade Duffer of Halifax, VA passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015 at his home. He was born in Halifax County, VA on December 11, 1942 and was 72 years old. He was the son of the late Berkley Jeffress Duffer and Sara King Duffer was married to Elizabeth Adkins Duffer, who survives. He was an oil delivery driver with Maddox Oil Company and was director of maintenance at the National Guard Armory. One great grandchild Grace Marie Duffer He was also preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Smith and one brother, Glen Duffer A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Ed Melvin and Rev. Greg Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
