Hilda Overstreet Daniel

Mrs. Hilda Overstreet Daniel of South Boston, VA passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born May 27, 1921 in Halifax County, VA and was 93 years old. She was the daughter of the late Jesse Robert Overstreet and the late Gracie Crenshaw Overstreet and was married to the late Newton Odell Daniel. She was a member of the Dan River Baptist Church. Mrs. Hilda Overstreet Daniel is survived by: Two Daughters Geneva Daniel Ratliff of South Boston Ruth Daniel Simon of Halifax Five Grandchildren Renee Shortt Harper and husband Steve of Cary, NC Lewis Odell Daniel and wife Sheri of Richmond, VA Amber Ford of Richmond, VA Kayla Simon of Richmond, VA Haven Simon of Halifax One Great Grandchild Megan Daniel of Richmond, VA One Brother Charles Thurman Overstreet of Farmville ***Preceded in death by*** One son, Robert Newton "Bobby" Daniel Four brothers and three sisters Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.
