Alpha Mourine Tucker

Ms. Alpha Mourine Tucker of South Boston, VA passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the Sentara Woodview. She was born October 23, 1937 in Pittsylvania County, VA and was 77 years old. She was the daughter of the late Richard G. Tucker, Sr. and the late Alpha T. Farson Tucker. She was a member of the County Line Baptist Church and a graduate of Spring Garden High. Ms. Tucker was retired from Suburban Propane. Ms. Alpha Mourine Tucker is survived by: One Brother Alvin Levi Tucker of South Boston Two Nieces Terri Lynn Hazelwood and husband Danny Tanette Smith One great niece, Brittany Hazelwood Two great nephews, Gavin and Skyler Smith Special caregivers, Carol Garner, Hazel Lacks and Crystal Crigger *** Preceded in death by*** Two sisters, Louise T. Long and Connie T. Wilson Two brothers, Richard G. Tucker, Jr. and Starkey Tucker Graveside services will be held Friday, March 27, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Halifax Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Don Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home of her brother, Alvin L.
