Mrs. Audrey Louise Vaughan Birchfield of Virgilina, Virginia died Monday, February 23, 2015 at her home. She was born February 20, 1952 in Halifax County, Virginia and was 63 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Oakley Briggs Vaughan and Margaret Eanes Vaughan. Mrs. Birchfield was a member of the Halifax County Rescue Squad. Mrs. Audrey Louise Vaughan Birchfield is survived by: Two sons Davey Gene Comer (Jannay) of South Boston Keith Comer (Holly) of Nelson One Daughter Tammy C. Harlow (John) of Virgilina Six Grandchildren Lauren Barksdale, Leslie Comer, Leah Comer, Sean Harlow, Alexis Comer and Wyatt Comer Four Great-Grandchildren Grace Barksdale, Laci Carter, Molly Barksdale & Madelyn Barksdale Four Brothers Marshall Vaughan (Barbara) of Halifax David Vaughan (Judy) of Alton Wayne Vaughan of Virgilina Wesley Vaughan of Virgilina Two Sisters Geraldine Young of South Boston Carolyn Overby (Jink) of Virgilina One Brother-In-Law, Jimmy Wilborn of South Boston ***Preceded in death by One son, Scott Allen Comer, One brother, William Briggs Vaughan, One sister, Wilda Earlene Wilborn Funeral Services for Mrs. Audrey Louise Vaughan Birchfield will be held at Powell Funeral Home Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Norman Talley officiating. Burial will follow in Virgilina Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home Saturday,February 28,2015 from 10-11:00 AM.
