Mrs. Dorothy Beadles Crews Trent of South Boston, VA passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 at the Berry Hill Nursing Home. She was born December 8, 1929 in Halifax County, VA and was 85 years old. She was the daughter of the late George Beadles and the late Mary Lillian Crews Beadles. Mrs. Trent was first married to the late William Matthew Crews, Sr. and then to the late Claude Trent. She was a member of the Centerville Baptist Church. Mrs. Dorothy Beadles Crews Trent is survived by: One Son William Matthew Crews, Jr. and wife Shelby of Vernon Hill, VA One Daughter Elizabeth Faye Crews Rodriquez of Washington State Nine Grandchildren Nineteen Great Grandchildren One Brother Robert Beadles of Nathalie ***Preceded in death by*** Two Great Grandchildren, Erica A. Crews and Romeo Walker Two Brothers, Owen and Floyd Beadles Funeral services will be held at the Centerville Baptist Church, Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Todd McClure officiating. Burial will follow in the Crews Family Cemetery, Vernon Hill, VA The family will receive friends Monday, February 23, 2015 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, 1027 Crews Dr., Vernon Hill, VA.
