Margaret Geneva Taylor Ligon

Mrs. Margaret Geneva Taylor Ligon of Scottsburg, VA went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 17, 2015. She was born in Lake City, SC on July 16, 1936 and was 78 years old. She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Taylor Sr. and Pearl Baxley Taylor and was married to Billy W. Ligon. She was a member of South Boston Church of God. Survivors include: Her husband Billy W. Ligon of Scottsburg Her daughter Tammy Maria Ligon of Scottsburg A sister Betty Ann Turner of Scranton, SC An adopted sister Denise Mixon of South Carolina One nephew Burt Turner and family of South Carolina Niece Wendy Jordan and family of South Carolina One grandson Timothy W. Ligon of North Carolina Granddaughter Jessica L. Bates of North Carolina Three great grandsons Preceded in death by one son, Robert Wayne Ligon and one brother, Robert Lee Taylor, Jr. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 3:00 PM at South Boston Church of God with Pastor T. Wayne Daniel and Pastor Bruce Hagy conducting the service. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery, Scottsburg. The family will receive friends at the South Boston Church of God on Friday prior to the funeral from noon until the service at 3:00 PM and other times at her home in Scottsburg.
