Eunice Mae Tuggle Adkins

Mrs. Eunice Mae Tuggle Adkins of Nathalie, VA passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born in Charlotte County, VA on May 23, 1935 and was 79 years old. She was the daughter of the late Burnice Chester Tuggle and the late Mary Martin Tuggle and was married to the late Allen Rudolph Adkins. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Republican Grove. Survivors include: One daughter Tammy A. Powell and husband Lewis of South Boston Three sons Michael Thomas Hines and wife Kim of Gladys Charles Phillip Hines and wife Evie of Volens Anthony Lee Hines and companion Tammy Beadles of Nathalie Three sisters Irene Ridgeway of Nathalie Julia Hickson of Nathalie Linda Lester of Nathalie One brother Lester Tuggle of Nathalie Eleven grandchildren Six great grandchildren Numerous Nieces and Nephews She was also preceded in death by one son, Allen Rudolph Adkins Jr., one sister and four brothers. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Childrey Baptist Church with Rev. Shelton Miles and Rev. Jerry Stanfield officiating. Burial will follow at First Baptist Church of Republican Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Saturday from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM and other times at her home, 1013 Cornelia's Lane, Nathalie.
