Denise Carol King

Miss Denise Carol "Dee Dee" King of South Boston, VA passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Duke University Hospital. She was born in Halifax County June 24, 1965 and was 49 years old. She was the daughter of the late John Charlie King, Jr. and Peggy Nelson King and was a member of Beth Car Baptist Church. Survivors include: Her step-father J.B. Cassada of South Boston Her sister Christal Lee Woicikowfski and husband Walt of Milton, NC Two nephews Bradley Woicikowfski and wife Ashley of Milton, NC Christian Woicikowfski of Milton, NC One great nephew Zachary Woicikowfski of Milton, NC An uncle Danny Cassada of Ringgold An aunt Phyllis Street of Pelham, NC A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Michael Parnell officiating. Burial will follow at Black Walnut Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home for one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of Walt and Christal Woicikowfski, 360 Dotmond Road, Milton, NC 27305.
