James Clayton Grove Sr.

Mr. James Clayton Grove Sr. of Brookneal, VA, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at his home. He was born in Pittsylvania County VA on June 21, 1957 and was 57 years old. He was son of the late Irvin Daniel Grove and Sylvia Walker Grove Thompson and was married to Thelma Casey Grove. Survivors include: His wife Thelma Casey Grove of Brookneal His mother Sylvia Thompson of Brookneal One daughter Jennifer Janet Danielle Grove Snead (Phillip) pf Altavista Four sons James Clayton Grove Jr. of South Boston Jason Lee Grove (Carolyn) of Crystal Hill John Clayton Grove of Brookneal James Lee Casey of Brookneal Two sisters Melinda Beadles of Brookneal Christina Mays of Brookneal Seven grandchildren Preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Lee Epperson A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 2:00 PM and the Wycliffe Cemetery in Brookneal with Rev. Jerry Stanfield officiating. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 7-8:00 PM and other times at the home of his mother, 528 Cook Avenue, Brookneal in Brookneal.
