Shirley Wells Hancock

Mrs. Shirley Wells Hancock of Brookneal, VA passed away at Gugenheimer Health and Rehab in Lynchburg, VA on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. She was born in Halifax County on February 19, 1941 and was 73 years old. She was the daughter of the late Willis Henry Wells and Della McKinney Wells and was married to the late Alfred Clem Hancock. She was a member of Clover Bottom Baptist Church. Survivors include: One daughter Debra Hancock of Brookneal Three sisters Mary Ellen Beadles of Nathalie Janie Marie Seamster of Scottsburg Patty Ann Wells of South Boston She was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Beadles, two brothers, Fulton Wells and William Wells, and two nephews, Daryl Beadles and Ricky Seamster. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Clover Bottom Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joe Lizely officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, 116 Claytor Road, Brookneal, VA.
