Acree Beverly "Buddy" Conner

Mr. Acree Beverly "Buddy" Conner of Conner Evans Trail, Alton, VA passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at his home. He was born in Del Rio, TX on December 20, 1943 and was 70 years old. He was the son of the late Charlie Acree Conner and Frances Brooks Conner and was married to Cynthia "Dianne" Snead Conner. He was a member of Black Walnut Baptist Church, was a charter member of Cluster Springs Volunteer Fire Department, and was retired from ABB. Survivors include: His wife Cynthia "Dianne" Conner of Alton Three daughters Wanda Washington and husband Kip of Williamsburg, VA Beverly Jones and husband Tino of Alton Kimberly Conner of Alton One son Michael A. Conner and wife Ashley of Virgilina One brother Chuck Conner and wife Telia of Cluster Springs Six grandchildren Rick Compton and wife Laci, Amanda Compton, Casey Compton and wife Jessica, Daniel Mack, Maci Conner, and Marcus Washington. Five great grandchildren A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Randy Holmes officiating. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 7-8:30 PM and other times at his home.
