Mrs. Barbara Ann Wazeka Newcomb of Scottsburg, Virginia died Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born to the late Teddy Peter Wazeka and Lillian Riley Wazeka, January 29, 1948, in Halifax County, Virginia and was 66 years old. She is survived by her husband Douglas Wayne Newcomb. Mrs. Newcomb attended Berry Hill Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Barbara Ann Wazeka Newcomb is survived by: Her Husband: Douglas Wayne Newcomb of Scottsburg, VA Two Daughters: Cheryl W. Rhodes & husband Brian of South Boston, VA Stephanie W. Brown & husband Ritchie of Halifax, VA Two Grandchildren: Zachary Rhodes of South Boston, VA Hollie Brown of Halifax, VA Two Brothers: Robert "Bobby" Wazeka of South Boston, VA Wallace Wazeka & wife Carolyn of South Boston, VA Two Sisters-in-law: Peggy L. Wazeka of Clover, VA Elsie L Wazeka of South Boston, VA ***In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, Three Brothers, George, Cecil & Anthony Wazeka Funeral Services for Mrs. Barbara Ann Wazeka Newcomb will be held Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 2:00 P. M. at Berry Hill Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Roger Wilborn and the Rev. Mike Wetherington officiating. Burial will Follow in Oakland Cemetery at Scottsburg. The family will receive friends at their home, 6219 Bethel Road, Scottsburg, Virginia.
