Jean Bane Epps

Mrs. Jean Bane Epps of Halifax, Virginia died Monday, September 15, 2014 at the Woodview. She was born March 18, 1928 in Halifax County, Virginia and was 86 years old. She was the daughter of the late Durward Ingram Bane and Edith Hammer Bane and married to the late W.T. Epps, Jr. Mrs. Epps was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church where she was very active having served as Church Pianist, Choir Director, Sunday School Teacher and in other capacities through the years. Mrs. Jean Bane Epps is survived by: One Daughter Dianne Seamster & husband Elwood of Clover, SC Three Sons W. T. "Tommy" Epps, III & wife Doris of Halifax Bane Epps of Halifax Eugene "Mac" Epps & wife Dodie of Halifax Twelve Grandchildren 24 Great-Grandchildren One Step-Great-Grandchild ***Preceded in death by one sister, "Betty Lee" Fogle Funeral services for Mrs. Jean Bane Epps will be held Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Elwood Seamster officiating. Burial will follow in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home, Wednesday from 7-8:30PM and other times at the home of her son "Mac", 5181 Chatham Road, Halifax, VA.
