Martha Davis Satterfield

Mrs. Martha Davis Satterfield of South Boston, VA died Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born October 14, 1933 in Pittsylvania County, VA and was 80 years old. She was the daughter of the late James Nathan Davis and Lessie Mae Milam Davis and was married to the late Earl Kent Satterfield, Sr. She was a member of the Dan River Baptist Church and the Dan River Community Ruritan Club. Mrs. Martha Davis Satterfield is survived by: Two Sons Earl Kent Satterfield, Jr of South Boston Brian Satterfield & wife Sandi of Halifax One Daughter Sherri Satterfield Whitlow & husband Tony of South Boston Six Grandchildren Devin Bonura, Gerren Bonura, Nicole Eutsler, Jessica Good, Isaac Satterfield and Abigail Satterfield Two Great-Grandchildren A number of nieces and nephews ***Preceded in death by One Daughter Bridget Bonura Four Sisters and Four Brothers A Graveside Service for Mrs. Martha Davis Satterfield will be held Sunday, August 24, 2014 at 2:00 P. M. at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Doug Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home, Saturday from 7-8:30 P. M. and other times at her home.
